Do silk pillowcases really make a difference?

Yes, when it comes to bedhead and wrinkles! Studies show that friction from tossing and turning causes creases in the skin, but dermatologists say that a silky smooth surface can reduce this effect in the long run. Similarly, with less friction on your hair, you’re less likely to wake with frizz and tangles. Perfect for long competition weekends when you want to keep your hair updo from one day to the next.

Silk fibers are significantly less absorbent than many other fibers, so they help keep your skin’s moisture and expensive face and hair products where they belong—on your face and hair, not your pillow. Ordinary pillowcases can cause hair to pull and tangle throughout the night, leading to bed head in the morning and potentially damaging hair. The silk can help reduce friction, too, which also aids in reducing stretching and tugging on delicate facial skin.

Instead of thread count, silk fabrics use momme – i.e. fabric weight. You’ll usually find a range of 15-30 momme. Our silk pillowcases are 19 Momme.

Q: Can I wash my silk pillowcase?

A: Yes, absolutely! Cold Hand Wash, Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Iron on reverse side or steam iron. Dry clean

Q: Can I use spot cleaner on my MakeUp Eraser?

A: Absolutely!

Q: Can I hand wash my silk pillowcase?

A: Yes, you can! You can hand wash or spot wash throughout the week. For best results, we recommend hand washing in cool water with Woolite or Dawn for a tough stain.

Q: How many days can I use my silk pillowcase for before I need to wash it?

A: You can use it for as many days as you’d like. We recommend washing at least once a week! Spot washes always welcome 🙂
