    Use and Care FAQ’s

Q: Can I wash my Makeup Eraser with my clothes?

A: Yes, absolutely! You can wash your MakeUp Eraser with ANY load of laundry. Your makeup will not transfer onto any other items in the machine. For best results, we recommend machine washing on hot with your towel load.

Q: Can I hang dry my MakeUp Eraser?

A: Yes! Hanging dry is welcome, however, MakeUp Erasers are dryer and dryer sheet safe.

Q: What do I do with my MakeUp Eraser in between washes?

A: After using your MakeUp Eraser for the night, wring out the excess water and hang to dry on your towel hook/rack. Your MakeUp Eraser will be dry and ready for use the next day! Do NOT leave your MakeUp Eraser wet and bunched up overnight.

Q: Can I use spot cleaner on my MakeUp Eraser?

    A: Absolutely!

Q: Can I hand wash my MUE?

A: Yes, you can! You can hand wash or spot wash throughout the week. For best results, we recommend machine washing on hot with your towel load.

Q: What’s the best way to remove long-wear or waterproof makeup?

A: Be sure to use hot water when wetting your MakeUp Eraser. Hold your eraser over the stubborn makeup for at least 5 seconds before beginning your circular motions to remove it. This will help soften and loosen up your makeup before removal!

Q: How many days can I use my Makeup Eraser for before I need to wash it?

A: You can use it for as many days as you’d like, depending on how much makeup you wear. We recommend machine washing at least once a week! Spot washes always welcome 🙂

    Why it works

    Makeup Eraser vs Towels

    Towels/microfibers vs. MakeUp Eraser

Have you ever rubbed your eyes with a towel after you showered and had “raccoon eyes” from your leftover mascara? That’s because a typical bath towel is woven in a loop or pile that is absorbent. This loop-like fabric is abrasive and cannot pick up makeup out of the skin, but rather smears it.

Generic microfiber cloths are made with a conjugation of polyester, polyamide, & polypropylene that can be abrasive and damaging to the skin. These generic microfibers typically use cheaper material that can cause irritation, redness, & inflamed skin.

The Original MakeUp Eraser is made up of millions of tiny hair-like fibers that stand straight up (rather than looped) and work together as a “suction” for all makeup, dirt & oil in your pores. Our premium, patented, polyester material was designed specifically for makeup removal using the most plush material for sensitive skin. The Original MakeUp Eraser is vegan, hypoallergenic, & dermatologist approved.

The MakeUp Eraser is science and physics at work. It relies on the attraction between ions to create a “suction” to suck up all makeup, dirt, & oil from your pores. Similar to how a gecko uses its tiny hairs on the bottom of its feet to create an attractive force to “stick” to walls and ceilings.
